Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 10, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or accessing the Chess mobile application ("App") or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and quibble ("we," "our," or "us"). If you do not agree to these terms, you must not download or use the Chess App.

2. User Accounts

To use the Chess App, you must register or log in using a valid Google Account. By doing so:

  • You represent that you are at least 13 years of age.
  • You agree to keep your account login details secure.
  • You accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your profile.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that provide false details or violate our fair-play policies.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Billing Cycle Options

We offer Base and Premium subscription packages available on monthly, quarterly (3-months), or biannual (6-months) cycles. Subscription fees are detailed within the App checkout.

Payment Handoff

Payments are processed securely via your device's respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). Subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of your selected billing cycle. Your payment details are collected and stored securely by the app store platforms, not on our systems.

Auto-Renewal & Cancellations

To prevent interruption of service, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time within the profile settings screen in the Chess App. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. Fair Play & Anti-Cheating

Chess is dedicated to maintaining a fair playing environment for all users. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and will result in permanent account suspension:

  • Using chess engines (such as Stockfish, Leela Chess Zero, etc.) during live multiplayer matches.
  • Utilizing browser extensions, external bots, or overlay helper tools to suggest chess moves.
  • Intentionally losing matches ("rating sandbagging") or artificially manipulating rating scores.

5. Intellectual Property

All software, custom training bot assets, puzzles, graphics, brand logos, and source code associated with Chess are the exclusive intellectual property of quibble. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to run the App for your personal, non-commercial entertainment and learning.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Chess App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that multiplayer matching will be instantaneous, that servers will have 100% uptime, or that engine features will be error-free. In no event shall quibble be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
